A FEW WORDS ABOUT US
Point of Progress (POP), initially founded as the Network for Youth Development (NfYD) in 2005, is local non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Malawi. Established under the Trustees Incorporation Act, POP operates under the guidance of a local Board of Trustees, which provides strategic direction and oversight. The organization's core mission is to empower youth and drive community development, addressing pressing issues such as poverty, education and gender inequality.
Point of Progress (POP) is dedicated to transforming the lives of youth, women, and children in Malawi through its five key thematic areas: Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security, Education and Skills Development, Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment, Youth Empowerment and Employment, and Health and Well-being. POP aims to achieve a significant positive impact by improving livelihoods, empowering marginalized groups, and contributing to sustainable development in Malawi

We believe that the youth of Malawi, if equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills, are a force of change to be reckoned with. We believe that our youths have the energy to create a more powerful and more united Malawi.
MISSION
We empower youths in Malawi by offering access to relevant skills and knowledge that help them make more informed decisions that create better futures for them and their families.
PURPOSE
We exist to create a more united Malawi, one where both men and women are equally active in building a better future for themselves and their communities.
Our reach
PoP is reaching out to 58,404 young people (36786 girls 22086 boys) clustered in 1119 Young Women Can Do It Clubs across its impact areas. Additionally, PoP is reaching out to 1505 women clustered in Self Help Groups.
